Welcome to the Wisconsin Woodsball
Group. We are a group in Wisconsin that is
dedicated to the sport of paintball. In the
modern era of paintball, there has
emerged two similar, yet distinctly
different species of paintballer: The
speedballer--the in your face, 25 ball per
second, 5 minutes is a long game, wouldn’t
be caught dead with a Tippmann, neon-clad
urban warrior--and the woodsballer, who
prefers camo, makes every shot count,
thinks he’s got all day to play, and likens
his Tippmann to his American Express card
(he won't leave home without it). This site
is dedicated to the latter.

Here is a tentative schedule for the Bulldogs in 2008:
April 5, 2008--Risk IV at Sherwood Forest in La Porte, IN.
Little Brother of Team WIP-SOG will be the general of one of three teams that will
be battling for domination. The Bulldogs plan on supporting LB in his first command...
May 4, 2008--Hunt for the Cure--at SplatTag in Hudson, WI.
The Bulldogs plan on supporting Ghostwolf of Team WIP-SOG as he commands one of
two teams in what should be a great day of paintball. The terrain is rugged and
perfect for an all day paintball war...
June 7, 2008--Giant Big Game--at SplatTag in Hudson, WI.
This is the annual Wisconsin vs Minnesota game, I believe.
June 22, 2008--Merc Wars II at Jungle Cat, Juneau, WI.
In last year's installment, I guided the Red Mercs to a close victory over the Blue
Mercs, led by Weasel of Shadow Korps. I plan on defending that victory in this years
installment...
July 20, 2008--Battle of Serenity Valley at Splat Tag in Hudson.
This game in run by Don 'Badger' Grubish, author of two books on scenario paintball
and a member of Minnesota Militia. The prizes alone make this one worth coming out
for.
August 9, 2008--On Your Honor II at Bovee's Field, Bancroft, WI.
This is the first of two 'big' games the Bulldogs will be hosting this year. Details

Sept 6, 2008--Red Dawn III at Shawack Field, Bancroft, WI.
The second of two 'big' games the Bulldogs will be hosting this year. Details coming

The Wisconsin Woodsball Group was created more out of frustration than anything
else. With speedball's popularity, finding a game or tournament to play in is not a
difficult task. For the woodsball player, however, trying to find a game can be an
exercise in futility. And tournaments are a rarity. The #1 goal of the WWG is to
remedy this trend. It is our belief that woodsball is the very foundation of paintball.
Its roots, if you will. I don't think the problem is that there is a lack of woodsball
players out there...I think the problem is that there is a lack of organization. Our
group gets out and plays regularly, but turnout can vary from a handful of people, to
enough people to get a small scenario game going, but consistency is lacking. By
creating the Wisconsin Woodsball Group, it is our intention to unite the woodsball
players of Wisconsin...to give them a place to go to find woodsball games and meet
other players. We also plan on organizing woodsball tournaments, as well as 'hopper
ball' tournaments (combining speedball elements, with the shooting skills of
woodsball).
